Tbf all big teams (Chelsea/United/Madrid/Bayern) do that and we don't do it enough. It does put pressure on referees and it does work - whether it's ugly to see or not.
They do, but I think Barca and possibly Madrid go to extremes.
Literally everyone bar Courtois is in that picture, I remember Cesc even accidentally stomping on Oscar's head while rushing to the ref 😆
Regardless, I agree with Mirth, we definitely don't do it enough. Referees are obviously integral to the game but so is their ineptitude; half of the time you see players swarming refs is because they are actually right and have to convince the retard in black to make the right call. In an extremely nervy game the ref just made two inexplicable calls in not sending Iniesta off and then not giving Barcelona a penalty, how are you supposed to stay calm in that situation?
Anyone who's ever kicked a ball on any level will know the feeling of impotent rage in those situations and I've seen way worse than whatever Barcelona or Real have ever done in their clasicos. You can think it's ugly but it's a fundamental part of the game.
