It's pretty funny actually that all the weaker sides has a very good chance of going though in all 4 ties. UEFA as usual fixed the draw to ensure we have a good semi final match up but it's not looking simple now.
Champions League 2015/2016
Ibrahimovic was shit when it counted. Should have had 3, if not 4 goals on the night.
He didn't have a good game but he scored for the third knockout match in a row.

Draxler is immensely talented but he needs a manager to guide him and that's definitely not Hecking. One of the few things I'd trust Wenger with is to get the best out of players of his ilk. Looks a lot more comfortable on the wing though than he used to to be fair to Hecking.
He's nurtured Caligiuri and Dost in the last couple of seasons. KdB was transformed from a good player to a superb scorer under him. Likewise he's doing well with Draxler at the moment too.
Ricardo Rodriguez was another player who'd done very well.
He's also got them to the CL Quarters, and are currently beating Real. One foot in the Semi. Respect to him.
Interesting stat: Real Madrid's defence failed to win a single tackle during the first half vs Wolfsburg.

Nah, the useless fucker ruined Bendtner's career.
Caligiuri stagnated from the time he left Freiburg, had potential for more. Dost is a shithouse player regardless of who he's managed by. KDB's development had nothing at all to do with his manager, he was playing for a relegation threatened Bremen before moving to Wolfsburg and looked every bit as impressive there. Draxler I've mentioned earlier and Rodriguez has definitely hit a bump in his development for the last two seasons, coincidentally not too long after Hecking came to Wolfsburg. Looks more like you're throwing names out there to be honest.
He's not a bad manager per se, he's done some good work at Hannover and had one pretty impressive season at Nürnberg which is why he got the VW job in the first place. He's out of his element managing a CL club although you could say that Wolfsburg aren't one. One foot in the semis is a very big claim, I reckon Real are still favourites to go through.
Never rated Hecking to be fair but he has done a reasonable job in Wolfsburg surprisingly. I think the competition with regards to manager is very high in Germany. Schmidt for example is a nutter but is a far better manager for me.
There are a couple of decent managers around, yes. Hecking has done well to get out of a pretty shit CL group and going past Gent in the Rd of 16, the win over Real will mark the highlight of their season as I fully expect them to be blown out in the second leg. They're having a very poor domestic season though has to be said.

Rodriguez and Hecking joined Wolsburg the same time you donut. 4 years ago.

Rodriguez came in January 2012, Hecking a full year after that. His first twelve months under Magath were definitely his best, he improved still for a while and looked like uprooting Alaba as the league's best LB for a while then petered out not too long after Hecking joined.
Cut the name calling out, you look like an idiot. How old are you?
Schäfer was their left back until Hecking became manager. Hecking was the one that gave Rodriguez his place back in the team.
In fact, from 2013 onwards he was regarded as the 2nd best Left Back in Europe according to the stats. He may not be hitting as high of a rating as he did 2 years ago, but you said his form dropped when Hecking became manager, which is horrendously wrong.
Even if Jones was wrong, and it seems pretty clear he wasn't, leave off on the name calling. Completely uncalled for.
He said "Rodriguez form dropped after Hecking joined the club"
Do you watch The Bundesliga Ricky? Hecking became manager, and reinstated Rodriguez as his first choice LB, Rodriguez went on to have his best year to date in 2013.
Since then, yes his form has dropped, which he did say. But the part where he said Rodriguez form dropped soon after Hecking joined was the part that is horrendously wrong.
You get offended with the word donut? Didn't know people were so uptight around here. I'll be more thoughtful.
You enjoy having a nobody call you donut savz?
Calm down. You're discussing Wolfsburg left backs ffs
TBF to Savz if you accuse people of "just throwing names out there" they might be inclined to call you something insulting.
So everyone cut it out.
And yes it would seem jones was right so you are hoisted on your own donut anyway.
Everyone keeps saying Jones was right, do any of you even know what you're saying he's right about?
He said Rodriguez's form dipped soon after Hecking became manager.
Hecking became manager just before 2013, where Rodriguez was a squad player. Hecking promoted him, and he went on to have one of the most productive seasons from a LB in recent years. (Whoscored 2013 stats are immense)
So what was he right about?
Qwiss! wrote:TBF to Savz if you accuse people of "just throwing names out there" they might be inclined to call you something insulting.
I said that because that's what it looks like. There's a number of players who have very visibly improved under Hecking like Knoche, Arnold or Vieirinha, distinctly more so than any of the other guys he mentioned. If you try to riposte my comment of Hecking not being the manager to improve guys like Draxler you could at least mention the correct players, otherwise you look like you're just namedropping.
Savz wrote:So what was he right about?
You said they signed at the same time for the club.
What a pointless discussion. You claim Hecking promoted Rodriguez but I remember him starting every game for VW immediately as he was pretty highly rated; after checking the stats I found that he played the full 90 in every game after signing in January until November of that year. It's fine to have differing opinions or to be wrong but there's no need to be so agitated or rude about it.
That should put you in your place you bratwurst.
Enough with the personal insults you bunch of marshmallows.
The forum is dead.
The forum is filled with a bunch of leftover food from the match thread meals.
Huge game's tonight.
City vs PSG
Real vs Wolfsburg.
I'm hoping Wolfsburg show commitment and come out and try to score. Trying to hold onto a 2-0 lead for a full 90 minutes at the Santiago Bernabeu is a very difficult task.
Praying Wolfsburg do it.
PSG are playing five defenders against Manchester fucking City, embarrassing from Blanc. Used to defend him for a while as he's shown he can be a good manager at Bordeaux but he truly is a gutless little bitch.
That went well for Wolfsburg Ronaldo twice in a minute and a half
Blimey!
Was watching the City game, Ronaldo's still useful then
Horrible football on show in the Abu Derby
Agüero with the worst pen ever
Christ, that first Ronaldo goal was an absolute shambles.
Aguero's gone to the dogs a bit by his standards
Second was a great header - so hard to pull off
jones wrote:Agüero with the worst pen ever
Shocker
That City chance couldn't have fallen to a worst candidate than Navas
Flipping Wolfsburg. 1 Goal lads, come on.
Wolfsburg have ha 2 shots on target and 2 shots off target, they can do it, just 1 and they'll go through come on.
PSG look shit without Verratti, Rabiot not fit to lace his boots.
I'd be happy to see PSG get dumped out tonight

Wish granted.
De Bruyne has made a big difference to City since his return.
Great goal
