Barcelona - Atletico
Wolfsburg - Real Madrid
Benfica - Bayern
PSG - City
Real's easy CL draws continue.
oooooh. the two nights that will make Don Simeone a legend. And the PSG-City games.
Madrid, Barca, Bayern, PSG in the semis. Bayern are very lucky with the draw. They are the weakest of that foursome
Barca will beat Atletico
Enrique's Barca vs Atleti.
Played 4 won 4 scored 8 conceded 2.
If Simeone can find a way to stop Neymar, Messi and Suarez then he deserves all the praise he gets. But he has very little chance in my opinion.
Barcelona are incredibly unlucky with the draw. The last teams they've faced in the knockout ties are PSG, Bayern, City, Atletico, City, PSG, Bayern, Juventus, us and now Atletico again.
including us was kinda cute because drawing us in the knockout rounds is quite lucky for any club.

Nah, not in the first knockout round. Every Barcelona fan will tell you that they weren't happy with drawing us. That won't stop you and your hyperbole though, will it?
We might be in shit form but there were and still are weaker teams in the knockout rounds.

well too bad barca fans don't play the matches or else we might have had a chance. their players certainly didn't feel unlucky. they openly chat shit about us while the tie is on.
whether we enter the knockout stages as group winner or runner up, we find a way to lose.
Think Barca will go through without too much trouble. Hope I'm wrong though.

If you want a discussion about whether Arsenal are better than Gent, PSV and Dinamo Kyiv or not, you'll have to find someone else who'll bother. 😆

Basically we'd have the KO rounds first and then the group stage, similar to how it was some 15 years ago.
Interesting read if you ignore the incoherent dribble of the yank at the end of it
I like it but it encourages football snobbery.
Yeah, certainly does. It's just traditional big/rich clubs trying to protect themselves against English even richer clubs. Somewhat like the French Revolution, the bourgeoisie fighting to overthrow the aristocracy.
How exactly would that work though?
Two groups of 8 means 14 games in the group stage alone which is more games than if you go all the way at the moment.
Which is exactly what they want, more games involving the top teams. A bit like the ICC pre-season tournaments.
So no more leicester ever?
The possibility that the likes of Leicester and West Ham could be representing England has Uefa panicking. When Real faced Borisov it was the lowest amount of viewers for a Real Madrid match in the CL in almost a decade. They desperately want to avoid that.
