Last night, Bill Maher and Jordan Peterson railed against kids. They literally did. All kids in general. Good going.

Just watched last week's episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and the opening is fantastic.

I just binged two seasons of Van Helsing on Netflix. I got exactly what I came for. That was some glorious tv trash.

It's a little bit reminiscent of things like The Strain and The Walking Dead. Try to picture TWD if it had been a CW show with bad coreography, modest budget and dodgy acting. It makes up for it with lots of good ideas and interesting dilemmas though, and it's surprisingly suspenseful. I found it more entertaining than I ever did The Walking Dead. Can't wait until season 3 starts.

Jessica Jones Season 2 is Marvel Netflix back on track. Solid show, although I don't understand why they deliberately made the sister so hard to empathise with. Zero redeeming factor.

IIRC it's only the first 2 episodes or so which are rough.

The show is interesting in that unlike so many other shows it doesn't really rely on the characters. Granted there's highly memorable ones like Avarasala and Miller, but the real pleasure is the world building.

I'm struggling with it myself. I've spent several weeks finishing it and I still have three episodes left. Tennant was such a great villain in season one, and they're lacking one now.

Same as myself. I gave up around half way through the season.

Is anyone watching Barry? I'm a big fan of Bill Hader but even with that said this is still brilliant TV. The right levels of funny, dark and human.

Has anyone seen Salamander? It's a Belgian crime drama series shown by BBC4. I'm about five episodes in on BBC iPlayer just now and finding it really enjoyable.

Ash vs Evil Dead just got cancelled. I can't decide whether I'm sad over how they killed one of the best shows on tv or impressed that it ever managed to pull off a three season run to begin with. Either way it has been a great ride.

First episode of season 2 of The Handmaid's Tale was quite gut churning. It's really a rather miserable vision, but wonderfully shot.

I never see anyone talk about it, but Santa Clarita Diet is one of the funniest shows currently on tv. I just finished season 2 and now I regret that I binged it so fast. What a gorgeous show. You'd think Bryan Fuller was behind it just by looking at it. It's easily the best zomcom since My Boyfriend's Back.

I've heard good things about that show. Tried watching the pilot because of Olyphant, but I didn't get past Drew Barrymore's puke scene.

I love SCD. Its one of the only shows on Netflix I genuinely binge. Very hard not to put on another episode. The cast are all brilliant. Amazing they have so much emphasis on the 2 teenagers and they aren't annoying at all. Olyphant is a standout though, he's hilarious in it.
