Meh.
Anyway, bit late to the party but I've discovered The Good Place and I'm really enjoying it. It's an appealing, well written and surprisingly conceptually rich show with many interesting twists. Unlike Mr Robot.
Yeah my 12 year old daughter really likes that one. I got bored after a few episodes. Now how snobby is that!!
But seriously, people do tend to get a precious or defensive about which tv shows they do or don't like (something I'm also guilty of). For me most tv I watch, which isn't very much, is done for light-ish entertainment and unwinding. .
Good and unsnobby post Daz!
It's somewhat understandable that people become defensive when others are indirectly calling their taste shit (or even worse that they like chauvinist/misogynistic shows). I have the same approach to TV shows as you do, at the same time I can understand how you'd have strong opinions on shows you don't rate when you spend a lot of time watching TV
I used to be that way when it came to music (still do laugh condescendingly whenever I see a new post in the music thread) but I mellowed with age, when you start living a life with social responsibilities and stop posting on obscure forums you tend to mature a bit so there's still hope however faint for Burns and his tribe.
