Just finished season 1. As you say it's not as deep, complex or as polished as The Expanse, but it's good entertainment. I do wonder where they're going to go with this though.

From what I read it started with super reviews but by the end of the season people had become more luke warm on it. I'm still trying to decide whether I'll bother watching it or not. Cast is pretty great.

Seasons 2 and 3 are even better. There are a few misses here and there, but many of the current arcs they've introduced both make the characters deeper and the world richer.

Haven't seen that, but it's not surprising. He is very funny, but I have a feeling that he's not very versatile. His roles in Deadpool and Transformers are essentially the same character as in Silicon Valley, but with worse jokes.

I love Lynch's comedy. It's definitely one of the most underrated aspects of the old Twin Peaks.

At first I wondered why the entire promo was just one-liners and no information, but then I remembered that one-liners is the only thing this show has.

The worst thing is that for some reason I watch it tomorrow even though I'm behind on shows like The Leftovers and The Americans. Probably because it's such a bad show that I feel like I can do everything else while having it on the screen.

I like light shows like that but they need to feature characters I like. Plus there are only so many dour, serious dramas I can deal with. As you say you can do other stuff, check your phone, post on an Arsenal forum, etc while a bit of a lighter show is on. You do that during the Americans and 3 episodes later you are lost.

Episode 7 of The Handmaid's Tale is a real dud - didn't care to see the husband's back story culminating in him weeping on receipt of a handwritten note from the wife he feared dead for 3 years.
