Wally Brando made me feel like I was being taken for a fool. I'm liking it, but not because it's good, more because it's very self aware, chucks a good many middle fingers at whoever let him do this, and because I like this sort of nonsense.
Has a touch of fire walk with me, which I don't appreciate, and the ridiculous color timing is comic at times, insulting at others. Mr. Jackpot is starting to grate as well. Hope he snaps the fuck out of it, stat.
Funny that the only characters in the show are only there because they were in the originals. Whole thing is a flimsy cardboard facade, like the movie set in Inland Empire. I like it like that, don't get me wrong, but I think it's pretty fucking hilarious that anyone talks about the "writing" at all. Its a much more pure form of cinema, where writing is just an annoying thing you do to explain why you need locations, props, and actors. Reminds me so much of film school, makes me nostalgic.
