It has it's moments and seems like it's getting better as the season goes on but it's all really messy and unsatisfying. They've tried to be a bit too clever.
I liked it a lot. An overly slow start, but it got better and better.
hey meatwad - tell me you watched ep 7 of atlanta?
😆 @ them showing everyone gutting the cigars in the actual commercial
TWD went to The Road levels of grim in that episode. Fucking hell.
As expected, TWD lets itself down with the cliffhanger. Even the "twist" was somewhat expected as I heard a rumour about it, and leaks are bound to happen inbetween seasons. So much power was lost for me.
The scene with the pen was very good though.
Rectify's final season premieres tonight. Best tv show this decade.

Inclined to agree I think. Definitely the best to start this decade. TBF there isn't that many even putting up a fight.

Rectify is great but I'll take Breaking Bad over it for sure. By qs rules it's close, but I'll give the edge to Hannibal.
Haven't seen Rectify, so I'd have to choose Fargo. Would place both The Leftovers, Silicon Valley and Rick & Morty ahead of Hannibal. By qs rules, that is.
Fargo is a good shout.
I've still not seen season 2 of Fargo, think I stopped after the first episode. Is it as good as the first?
Better.
oh snap, i knew i'd forgotten to watch something. need to go back and binge season 3

Agreed. That cliffhanger removed all of the tension.

I didn't like many of those shows TBH. Silicon Valley is great but the rest I'm not bothered with much. Fargo is ok but I don't get the hype at all. A lot of style and violence but little substance or heart.
just finished 4 seasons of boardwalk empire. I need counselling. there's a couple of characters which are beyond ridiculous.

Same here, haven't seen more than one or two episodes of the second season. The first season wasn't that spectacular either but I guess Thornton kept me watching, great actor and role.
I'd say that Dunst's performance in season 2 rivals Thornton's. Excellent from both Wilson and Woodbine too.
I watched 4 or 5 episodes of season 2 and thought Dunst was the worst thing in it. Heard she did more towards the end though.

For such a self serious show its villains were so cartoonish. Its a pretty bad show overall IMO, just has high production values so people give it far more respect than it deserves.
