When I was a kid there was something called "Detective Hour", where basically one hour every week there'd be an episode of some crime series. Colombo was my least favorite, far too slow for 13-year-old me, while I remember loving A Touch of Frost and an Australian one called Stingers.
Point being, I clearly haven't watched enough Colombo to be bothered by or even notice this. I actually can't remember the last time I could even stomach a procedural, must be 10+ years ago, but I'm enjoying the hell out of Poker Face.
