I skipped through some, including the dream episode. Absolutely the weakest season so far.

I feel the same about Top Boy Season 2/4, but contrary to Snowpiercer I still really, really enjoyed it, I've really grown fond of Sully and Dushane over the years, same with Jaq, who's slowly overtaking them as the most interesting part of the show. Good to see Shelly get a bit of a bigger role as well. I didn't really like the inbred Scousers as antagonists though and overall I rarely felt the kind of suspense last season's war with Jamie evoked, so I do think it's the weakest season so far, but not by much. Was genuinely disappointed in the soundtrack though, not a day goes by without me listening to Kano or Little Simz, and yet not a single track of this season made it onto a playlist!

Last season of Top Boy was pretty disappointing, the one before was already very different to the two Summerhouse seasons and as soon as Americans get involved of course everything gets a bit more Hollywood and unrealistic but they've seriously overdone it now. The Spain/Morocco timeline was better than I feared and the Scouser was good (not his sister and the other guy) but it all felt really shallow.

Agree about the soundtrack, last season was way better. Has to be said though S4E4 had by far the best collection of tracks of all seasons so far.

100%. The end picks up a little but most of it was a chore to get through. Some of the direction was terrible too.

I gave up on that one. The first two seasons had a certain appeal with their grittiness, especially after Sean Bean turned up playing a bona-fide asshole, but the visions felt ridiculous and completely opposite to the direction I wanted it to go in.

The vision stuff doesn't become a main part of the story, without revealing too much you can go on watching without being afraid of it turning to some supernatural shit

Okay that's comforting to know. That's the thing I was afraid of.

The dance party scene where they put on Joe McPhee and call it "defiant jazz", only for the scene to dissolve into chaos in tune with the music, settled it - Severance is one of the best tv shows to emerge in recent years. The season finale was superb too. If they don't drop the ball completely with the follow-up season it's going to be the role that Adam Scott gets remembered for. Tramell Tillman as Milchick is arguably the standout actor though, which is not an easy feat on a show that contains both Christopher Walken and John Turturro.

Been meaning to watch that. The mini trailer I've seen doesn't exactly do it any favours which is the only reason I've not gotten around to it.

Decided re-watch The Shield again after seeing it brought up on here a few weeks back. Forgot what a journey it was.

Ben Gilroy just turned up in a season 6 episode of the X Files - that looks like Ben Gilroy! I said.

Googled him, of course, it was him.

Moon Knight is probably the best Disney+ Marvel series to date, mainly because of the lead actors. It is full of plot contrivances though.

May Calamawy seems to have come from nowhere to steal screens. Pretty decent actress and absolutely ravishing.

watching mad men for the first time with my gf, near the beginning of season 3, and its definitely a solid show. i might have been expecting a little bit more, but its been great.

prior to mad men, we watched six feet under, which i think was the 4th or 5th watch for me. one of my all time favorite shows, and honestly, i think it ranks a notch above the sopranos for me.

my go to show recently when ive needed a laugh is the first seven seasons of trailer park boys. absolutely amazing show.

looking forward to season 4 of what we do in the shadows, which has to be my favorite show ive discovered recently.

Was wondering whether Moon Knight is worth a watch. I have some Marvel fatigue.

We are enjoying Slow Horses on Apple +. Gary Oldman is great as the washed up, uncouth head of a backwater of MI5.

Watched one full season of THE SHIELD over the past couple of months in amongst moving house and a few other things.

It's clearly good and groundbreaking for its time and I want to love it, and the late 90s nu-metal flavours are endearing and Chiklis in particular is excellent, but … I don't love it so far. Might not have been able to pay attention perfectly, but does it get a lot better?

I’m rewatching myself. The show doesn’t really change much but they definitely up the stakes. Personally I think it’s one of those shows that benefit from a bit of binging too, at least initially.

Yeah, might just be that spreading it out a lot is dulling the investment in the subplots a bit. I can see the quality but I'm far from being struck by lightning.
