Yeah, the pilot will be shown on cable and then the show will move to CBS All Access. I think it's an attempt to expand their web streaming service. I'm not sure if it carries any implications for stuff like budget and format, but it could prove to be a genius move by them. If they launch All Access Europe before the show premieres there will be a global community of trekkies who'll sign up just to watch this the minute it becomes available.

It'll definitely effect the budget but that could be a blessing disguise as it wont be expect to perform to as high a level ratings wise, which could also see a bit more of a hands off approach from CBS.

Not on network off shoots. Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc all have original programming but they are just streaming services. I can't think of any serious series thats been aired online only by a network or even a cable channel. Its usually just supplementary web short kind of things. Bonus content really.

They've made another "final" series of Peep Show.
Starts next Wednesday, hope it hits the heights of the earlier series.

Seen the first 5 episodes of Banshee. You need to take a high dose of that suspension of disbelief medicine, but then it is great fun.
