At 27 the guy has won La Liga 5 times, Champions League 3 times, the World Cup and the Euros. He's a born and bred winner. I have no idea how you can turn your nose up at this guy, yeah he's a slimeball, we've had slimeballs that have won us championships in the past, we all think fondly of them. That's how it works. To me this would be even bigger than signing Özil. Sadly I'd give this transfer less than 5% chance of happening.
