Everybody including Wenger said it was complacency. I don't know how bad it was as I didn't see the match, but the stats were ugly.

Mahrez is really an interesting player. He caused us lots of problems at the emirates last season and had always looked good for Leicester.

I'm the guy who still rated Schneiderlin at Soton but that's evaporating rapidly now he plays for manu.

Just because you are so spectacularly wrong about Welbeck doesn't mean you're wrong about everything Rex. We definitely should have signed Schneiderlin. Seems weird to use this point, 3 games in, with United still having yet to concede a goal in the league to try and claim Wenger was right not to sign Schneiderlin. Especially when we lost 2-0 at home in our opening game with Coq having his share of responsibility for the second goal and he was lucky not be sent off in the Palace game. Seems to me so far Schneiderlin is having a better season.

A better season three games in?

Have only seen parts of the United matches but he's looked far from impressive. Especially vs Newcastle when he wasted about three of the five added minutes by passing it sideways, literally the last kick of the game was him passing it to Blind behind him. Not saying he's a shit player per se but the one we should have gone for is Vidal, not Schneiderlin.

Gomis. Is he any good. I keep watching his games and fluctuate 'wow, he's aggressive, powerful and direct', and 'meh'. He would certainly be better than Welbeck and company as a back-up to Giroud. Watched a number of games. The Stokes and Swanseas of this world will be tough. This is going to be a tough season with a few more West Ham-type games to follow for Arsenal.

Ah okay Rex I didn't realise that particular Wengerism has been remembered and immortalised, people have very short memories- One stumbling win over Crystal Palace and Wenger has become "one of the top managers in the world" again and they are shocked and disappointed when he sits on his hands during the transfer season.
