Diaby is the last player in the squad to have scored for Arsenal at Highbury.

Now we only have Rozza left with a link to Highbury (I think he scored against us while playing for Sparta Prague)

Flamini scored for us in that 7-0 game against Everton.

Hard to believe that was 10 years ago.

Yay Flamini, a true Arsenal legend.

Flamini scored against Portsmouth at Highbury in December 2005. Cracking goal!

Would've been strange having Diaby in the stands with the fans for his own testimonial.

I completely forgot about Flamini!

Honestly don't understand the hate against some long time Arsenal players like Diaby Rosicky and Flamini.
Okay they might have been injured a lot and may have lost form and may not be starters anymore, all people can moan about is the (relatively) insignificant wages they are paid- As if they were paying it out of their own fucking pockets.
Arsenal have plenty of money they pissed away 16M/100k p/w on "Wele" so don't worry about a few long time club servants being looked after, its not as if they are ungrateful rats like Hleb Fabregas or Van Persie.

Ungrateful rats. No Flamini in that list?

Excuse me Claudius.

Did he meet Barcelona officials for "ice cream"?
Did he "go on strike" until he got his transfer?
Did he publish an open letter about how the club let him down despite paying him for 5 injury ravaged years and then sing glory glory Man Utd?

No, he fulfilled all his contracts and has always been a popular club man and team mate among the players and he has never brought the club into disrepute.

Already sliding my arse. What a prick.

I think about what might have happened to my career if if were not for that tackle, probably every day.'

😆 He makes it sound like he was at the rough end of it. If only Diaby hadn't broken his leg against Smith's foot... who knows what could have happened? Dan Smith might have been prime minister today if it weren't for his encounter with menacing Abou. His potential was endless.

Embarrassing. Almost a decade gone and he's probably even dumber than he was as a "young 19 year old lad".

Can we change the thread title? Whenever I glance at this and see "Confirmed" and "Chelsea" I keep on thinking that it's a Cech confirmation thread 😆

This dickhead will get sympathy as well from the media.  The usual bullshit like "He's not that type of player" or "He's an honest lad" will soon follow.

For a second I was imagining if we'd probably defend one of our own players if he'd broken someone's leg. Then again I'm not sure if I can remember an occasion when one of our players shattered someone's leg. Does anyone remember the last time?

Think the closest thing in recent years might have been Gallas stomping some Bolton player. It might have been Mark Davies. I'm a bit vague on the details but I know he missed a month or two because of a hairline fracture and a damaged ankle ligamanent. I know some people on AM were cheering because Bolton had a history of injuring our players.

Diaby fractured Wesley Sneijder's leg in preseason too back when we played Real Madrid. He also broke Ivan Campo's foot back in 2006. He's been dishing out plenty of horror tackles throughout the years to be honest. He's always been a brainless player.

Yeah, that thread name is an abomination 😆

Yeah true. Even broke Nasri's leg as well (though that was more Nasri's fault). We're any of those leg breaks full fractures? I mean considering we've been subjected to so many of full leg breaks over a short period of time, I'm struggling to think of anything comparable our players have done. And I'm trying to go back as far as I can remember.

Nah, we're not that sort of team

we should extend About til January so he can get his testimonial. might as well do him and Theo simultaneously: Walcott all-stars vs Diaby & Friends
