Haven't watched Higuain during his time in Italy, but I'm no longer keen as I reckon if he'd been impressive, word of his feats would have seeped into my consciousness without me having to look for news of how he was faring.
Anyone still wanna get jiggy with tha higgy?
Like when you were boiling up some new potatoes, ironing a shirt or scrubbing the bathroom , and higgy banged in a worldie a cold shiver would have run down your spine?
Exactly.
Apart from the ironing shirts part.
Rocking the creased shirt look!
Rocking the never wear a shirt look.
Saucey.
Hasn't been the same player since he picked up that injury in 2011 (or was it 2010?). He was a better finisher before then, looked more dynamic too. He fluffs easy chances with regularity these days (was deadly in front of goal years ago), dunno why, maybe it's just mental.
Arsenal have bid £29.3m for @sscnapoli striker Higuain, according to La Gazzetta. #afc
I call houseboat on that.
He's not top top quality.
Pass.
Just scored 28 goals this season, including 18 in Serie A. Has typically scored in mid20s with 17 his low over 4 seasons. On our team, only Sanchez is capable of this, yet this guy isn't deemed an upgrade? There aren't many pure strikers better than him at present. We are talking Aguero, Ibrahim, Cavani, Suarez and probably Benzema. Costa, Lewandoski are peers. I'm game. Maybe if he still played for Real, people would be getting Higgy wit it.

all of those guys are either more physically imposing, or have better all round ability than higuain. i'd rate them ahead of him by a fair margin tbh.
i'd rather give theo a chance through the middle than spend a chunk on higgy.
Sorry. there was a slight punctuation error in that comment :-). There should be a full-stop after Benzema. :-) Now read it again.

Carlos Bacca reminds me a little of Shearer. No nonsense striker, simply just rams any clear chances home when he has it.
Benzema is so perfect for us. We need a striker that can create chances for others rather than a fox in the box.

Every single one of those strikers are better than him imo. If we can't get anyone else and he is available for a reasonable price I wouldn't mind signing him but personally hoping for better.
Against my better judgement I am terribly excited about Walcott as a striker.

At this moment there is nothing to indicate that Madrid will sell Benzema as their only other striker who was second choice anyway is leaving. So who would these be?
Higuain isn't even a top 10 striker. I'd be more interested in Carlos Bacca if we take it that an elite striker isn't available. Also if we want to talk about goals then Higuain only scored 4 more league goals than Giroud this season even though Giroud missed 3 months with a broken leg.
I think its also worth pointing out that Giroud has an interesting ability to improve every season (not just at Arsenal). Would easily have hit around 25 goals this season if he hadn't got injured.
