It's not a decision for Coquelin but for Cazorla in some sense. If we magically found a Cazorla upgrade tomorrow who offers Santi's ball retention, distribution and ability to shake off pressure plus some added height, pace and optionally occasional goal threat I'd most certainly start that Mr X next to Coquelin.
Temo makes a good point, Ramsey has flaws that are heavily linked to his strengths; he plays a very high risk high reward type of game which we cannot play against better opposition, especially not when he's so wasteful in front of goal and sloppy in possession. Even when he hits form we'll probably have to switch to 4-3-3 to accommodate him properly and we don't have the personnel at the moment, unless he hits absolute top form consistently he's not good enough to make the change either.
The Ramsey dilemma would be one of the first things a new manager would have to have a look at if we got one in the summer. I don't trust Wenger to do it, not even because of his tactical shortcomings but his emotional investment with his players.
