So fucking stupid. I really am over Wenger at this point, he doesn't even know how to get the best out of his players anymore.

It can't come as much of a surprise to anyone at this point. Just look at Özil's form over the last year; this is the guy Wenger played out of position for half a season and probably still would have persisted with out wide if he hadn't gotten injured. Now it's Ramsey instead. He's getting shown up so badly.

What has Ramsey done on the right wing that makes him look stronger out there? He looks half a player. He's a fucking textbook box-to-box midfielder, for god's sake.

never heard him explain his midfield choices in detail, but now he has and its exactly as expected. this shoddy team building goes all the way back to the window where we purchased ozil, and its just been half measures and counter measures since then.

Wenger puts Ramsey out on the right wing for the collective benefit, because we have inexperienced or defensively suspect rightbacks, and because with Coquelin and Özil as fixtures in the selection, Cazorla in mid and Ramsey out wide has been much superior to Ramsey in mid and Cazorla out wide.

The use of Ramsey on the wing is a shame for Ramsey himself, but it's benefited the team on a lot of occasions. Now with Coquelin injured, the situation in midfield has become sufficiently dire you'd think moving Ramsey to centre mid would be a logical step. Against that logic, we also have an injury problem on the right side with Walcott out and Campbell and Ox still problematic selections.

I guess Wenger's thinking is he selects Flamini, tries Chambers intermittently, and if it doesn't work out, he reshuffles the deck. It's a very slow, stable and reactive way to manage our predicament that could cost us points, or potentially could keep us on the level.

That will only work if we get a dm that can build from the back. Someone like Busquets or Motta, otherwise we will struggle to move the ball forwards.

A club like Arsenal should be able to handle that. We should have bought a successor to Arteta in 2013.

Ramsey is too injury prone to be relied on for a key position like CM, same goes for Walcott for CF position, they aren't serious options to play 3 games a week consecutively for most of the season.

I agree thats the sort of midfielder we need to find. Doesn't have to be someone who will imediately start every game either, we can win most games with Coq/Ramsey or Coq/Caz but it'd be nice to have some tactical flexibility in the middle. Sometimes Coq and an Arteta type could be exactly what we need. In CL away games or vs our top 4 rivals thats the sort of midfield that can help really control a game.

Flambo might work a little better than Flamzorla actually, it may shield the defense with a bit more bite. Wing situation looks dire though, Jeff/Iwobi the only options off the bench

Flambo is definitely better than Flamzorla IMO. Flamini isn't solid enough to partner Caz.

Won't be long before Kamara is called onto the bench.

Playing Cazorla in the entire 2nd half despite him having a knee injury is retarded.
