Starting "CM" next season - Ramsey vs Cazorla?

Cazorla doesn't have the basic physical ability to play cm in the Premier League. Lack of pace, strength, and stamina. He has no defensive nous, and his attacking play has regressed. He has been a good player for us, contributed some wonderful moments, and has a likeable personality, but he is finished now.

Arteta and Flamini are also both finished. Wilshere's fitness means he is not a viable option at the moment.

This means we have just two players capable of performing in those two midfield positions. It's astonishing. We all wanted a new midfielder, but really one isn't even enough.

With Coquelin out for a month, we HAVE to play Ramsey centre mid. He has been poor this season, but he's the only one capable of eventually pulling out some top form there. Nightmare situation really.

It's hardly a nightmare to go back to an Arteta Ramsey midfield for a month, it will require them to re-discover the synergy that they had the season before last though.

Arteta's legs have completely gone. How can we expect him to play most games in a month?

We've got Man Utd and Bayern Munich coming up, our midfield has been poor as it is, and our best performing player has just been crocked. What would you call it?

I think Arteta will be alright. It's the idea that Wenger will continue with Arteta-Cazorla that really worries me.

It could be an improvement to our attacking game. Not like our midfields been firing on all cylinders anyway. I just hope we finally see Ramsey restored to the centre.

But I don't think Art for Coq will inspire confidence to put Ramsey at Center - so unless he asks both Ramsey and Art to play deep (which would be smart IMO), I think he might play Arteta with Cazorla. The defensive worry is very clear to see - I think even Wenger would worry. He must have felt so comfortable with Caz just because Coq was such a brilliant umbrella.

Just hope he doesn't have Flamini as coq cover in his formula. That would be a disaster.

Not getting a striker I can understand, there weren't many but can't believe we didn't sign another CM. Apart from a few games have never been that impressed with Cazorla. He is easy on the eye but that isn't what you want there. We needed a supreme passer of the ball there, someone who can drive the team forward but instead we have a lot of combinations but none of them really stand out. I had hoped Coq + Ramsey might have worked but that doesn't look ideal either.

How do you know that? You've seen that central midfield twice; first time we beat the champions, and the second time the whole team, those two included, was poo.
The truth is that Wenger hasn't given them OR the team a chance to adapt to that central midfield.

We've also seen a midfield of Cazorla and Coquelin dominate and beat the reigning champions last season on their own turf. It's not as clear cut as some might think; Ramsey and Cazorla are both dire at the moment. It's down to more than just formation and fielding players in their 'right' positions.

Flamini is an embarrassment. When he plays for us I'm ashamed. It's like we were a championship team. Grimandi 2.0 .

That's my instinct on it as well, but now that Coquelin is out I don't see that Wenger has a choice other than to put Ramsey back in central midfield alongside either Arteta or Cazorla.
There's just no way (I hope) that we will select regularly a midfield of Arteta Cazorla or one that involves a Flamini who has not featured in yonks.

arteta-ramsey is the only sane combination that'available. rambo could really do with a stormer in the middle of the park against the scum to turn himself around
