Always had an animosity against strikers who can't strike a football properly i.e. Gervinho, early Adebayor etc. but Welbeck does so much good work besides scoring goals I don't know what to think. If I was a defender though I'd loathe playing against him.

The idea that Welbecks general play makes up for his lack of goals doesn't hold up to any sort of analysis. Compare him to Walcott (who's general play is generally criticised) in passing, goals, defensive stats, etc and it shows that at best Welbeck is pretty close to Theo if not worse.

I disagree. I think Chambers at RCB would do very well. He's really good on the ball too which is a big bonus in this formation.

I've said it before but Theo is always going to be one of the first names on the team sheet for me when we play a big opponent. He'll make you tear your hair out across an entire season, but he's worth five times as much as Welbeck in these clashes. I'd have no issue whatsoever if we decided to buy out Danny's contract tomorrow just to get him off the wage bill.

I really hope we sign another center half now with this sale, especially if Chambers leaves too. Love Mertesacker and Monreal but we could with signing a first choice top class center half. Koscielny isn't getting younger either.

I really fear Wenger plans to use Chamberlain as left wing back and Kolasinac in the center.

Manolas would be the obvious choice for me. He can do what Kos does, he can do what Per does. And he's 6-7 years younger to boot.

I agree with Qs, I think Chambers is a really good player, same as Holding. Sell pointless players like Gabriel, buy a new starter, and let the young blokes get the spare minutes.

Isn't Gabriel injured long term? How would he even sign for another tean without passing a medical?
