I won't miss him in the slightest. He's a good goalkeeper but not the level Arsenal should have in goal. And he's a also not a particularly clever guy - I reckon it's more that which has cost him with Wenger.

Look at it this way: his price tag is €12 million and Roma still weren't interested in buying him after he spent two years there. Szczesny is a decent player but he's a dime a dozen.

literally means nothing.. Cech kept the most clean sheets in the EPL with us 2 seasons ago and we weren't anywhere near the title.

12m for Snez is slightly lower than i might have thought, but we didn't give him away for free or anything. I'm not heartbroken by this

Ospina have the best stats again but just marginal.

That's pretty definitive. I reckon if we keep him he'll sign a new deal at some point unless we have another utter disaster of a season.

Thanks for the stats, but these numbers are so meaningless without context. What exactly does something like "minutes per save" say?

He made even stronger statements about Nasri, stuff like us being a small club if we sell. If Alexis just forces it enough he will 100% budge

True, especially if PSG were to come in with a big offer. Circumstances are very different though so I'm hoping the outcome will be different too. I reckon their 'decision' is probably largely down to how difficult the buying climate is. If we sell we won't be able to replace him, it's as simple as that.

Liverpool did it. They kept Suarez against his wishes and he almost won them the league and signed an extension too.

The main reason I think Sanchez will be kept is due to needing him to get back into the CL.

That and our commercial deals are up for renewal too. Ironically we could end up being worse off financially by selling him.

I suspect you are right. I definitely think we were ready to sell if we'd signed Mbappe.

Szczesneys farewell message is a touch of class. Whatever you thought of him as a keeper he's a decent guy with a true respect for the club. I hope he does well in the rest of his career.
