Not having to watch Mkhitaryan play this season will be a blessing. If Mustafi can be got rid of for at least the season too then it will have been a great day. I wish a Xhaka departure would come out of left field, but it's not going to happen.
These terrible players cost you when it matters most and you can least afford it. And it doesn't how far their form falls or how badly they do when given the chance, they are international footballers that have influence on the group; it will always be easier and less potentially damaging to drop Chambers, Willock and Nelson than Mustafi, Xhaka and Mkhitaryan.
Out the club entirely is the only way to go. Bravo to the club for either selling or, making the best of a bad situation and loaning, basically every rubbish player we have this summer.
Shame on Iwobi, the only downside of this summer's outgoings for me, but I am going to choose to look at it in a positive way and draw the opinion that if the club think someone as decent as Iwobi can't cut in the squad they're trying to build, and is therefore expendable if a good offer comes in, then they must be trying to build some squad.
