I'm almost starting to think the only way we're going to get anywhere in the short term with Emery is if we sell all the bad players we have so he can't sabotage our chances by picking them! 😆

He’s struggling to strike the right balance between youth and experience. It would make sense not to have too many kids simultaneously so they can have the safety net of experience, but our StatDNA/Gazidis veterans are not covering themselves in glory. We’d be better of putting scarecrows in their place.

Fortunately, I trust that as the season progresses, guys like Willock and Torreira will earn the gaffer’s trust ahead of the veterans. He does reward effort in the end

Prob is ESR seems injury prone.

I'd forgotten that we also have Martinelli. He may be in front of ESR in the line? Anyway, even less of a reason to keep Mkhi.

Unai loves him, he has a few players that can do no harm if you ask him.

Get in ! Only Mustafi left now. We got rid of so much dross this summer, amazing stuff. We trimed the wage bill, and the age of the squad by a lot.

Wow that is big news. Mkhitaryan looks done at the top level but he still leaves a gap in the squad. Nelson is going to get a lot of game time now.

I think it's right that we have young talents as backup. Martinelli and Nelson won't improve if they don't get to play, but they're not ready to play week in, week out (at least not for us) so to give them as many minutes as possible without making them first choices seems like the best idea.

Martinelli and Saka probably going to get it too if he goes. Don't think either could have done less than Mhki yesterday though so I'm fine with it.

AS Roma have reached an agreement with Arsenal to sign midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan on a season-long loan.

The Italian club will pay a loan fee and cover all of the 30-year-old’s wages, but there is no option or obligation to buy in the deal.

Armenia international Mkhitaryan joined Arsenal from Manchester United in January 2018 in a swap deal that saw Alexis Sanchez move in the opposite direction.

Done. Mustafi looks like he will stay, no links, nothing. And there is not much time left.

6 goals and 7 assists is a decent return for a squad player though. Hopefully Pepe can take on both his and Iwobi's numbers, but ideally we need one of the kids to really contribute with some end product.

Was MOTM by far last away game at Spurs

That's his problem and always has been, he puts in one 9/10 performance and then 10 4/10 games
