The out of towners are the ones who seem to have the biggest issue with London (them and Londoners who remember a ‘different’ London, but let’s not go there...). The issues generally seem to be that it’s too busy, too expensive, less of a community feel etc, which is understandable, but none of which really applies to your average footballer.
A colleague of mine from Iran who’s been living in Hammersmith and Fulham got a culture shock when she visited east London for the first time, she was going on and on about how rough it was and how unsafe she felt, couldn’t imagine living there etc... she was mortified when I, and I happen to be her manager, mentioned that I live there 😆
