They are not that reliable but still, makes sense if we are bidding so much left an right. We are raising money from somewhere.

There's only 3 Spanish clubs that could afford Laca, let alone make it worth our while to enter into any dialogue = Barca, RM & Atletico.

Yup - although haven't Atletico already signed a replacement for Griezmann, and RM signed someone as well from the Bundesliga?

From the sheer number of different links, it's starting to look like Koscielny really is set on leaving. First time I've seen mention of Bordeaux and their "project" though. Disappointing from Koscielny if it's true. I understand why he'd want to leave, but he's club captain and we could do with him in the squad next season. It is entirely possible that the reality is the club feel he's past it and have told him to look for a new club of course.

With all we still have to do this summer, Koscielny fulfilling the last year of his contract as 3rd choice centreback made sense to me. Although, if two new centrebacks are coming in and Mustafi is guaranteed to be shipped out, I am okay with it. I just have doubts that's all going to happen.

He's done his time here to be fair, 34 with questionable fitness. Maybe he just doesn't think he's got another season here in him?

He's behaved impeccably and given everything for 9 years. He leaves with my blessing.

The physical exertions required to be PL centreback is probably too much to countenance another season here particularly with the risk he might sustain a career ending injury. He's done his time here so wish him well whatever he chooses.

I thought Laca might be the more vulnerable of our two forwards as Auba has scored significantly more even from the wing and Laca hasn't convinced me that he can replace the former's output. A front line with Zaha and Auba I think would be more potent than Zaha and Laca.

Aubameyang is exactly 2 years older at 30. We need to monetize one of these guys. Maybe we just see out Aubameyang’s career. The smartest move would’ve been to sell Laca, and get a bonafide wide man like Pepe, or two guys like Ziyech and Under (with a big of a pay-in perhaps).

I have no idea what we are trying to achieve right now.

Kos probably isn't, and definitely shouldn't be, considered as a first XI player for us next season so it'd be harsh to begrudge him a move back to France now.

I would like him replaced, and also wish him well if he does move on for one last challenge, but what's the plan to replace him?

Whatever Kos wants to do this summer should be respected by Arsenal. Releasing him would be a nice gesture if it helps him find a new club. We're never getting any real money for a 34 year old player anyway.

He's already been replaced by Sokratis. That always seemed like the longterm plan to me. The fact that Kos was so good after returning last season was a sheer bonus. We need to find a partner for Sokratis now. It's not Kos we need to replace; it's Mustafi.

I'd rather he stayed a year and mentored Bielik and Holding.

Yep, really don't want him to leave. He is old and busted and still levels ahead of our next best CB last year.

He was but to go into next season relying on him would be a disaster.
