yeah 250k is about 400k gross. Both sources are correct. Anyway Ramsey is now the top 3 earner in Serie A, way behind Ronaldo but just about tied with Dybala. Pretty ridiculous to be honest.

From what I can gather even though his agent had agreed a contract they had been stalling from signing it for months. I'm in no way defending Arsenal's negotiating skills here but I am not so sure Ramsey had any intention of signing with us. I think he was using our offer to get himself a bumper deal elsewhere. Leaving money aside why would he stay with us? He's seen plenty of players leave and win trophies elsewhere, why would he not want the same? This was going to be his last big contract so he has to look out for himself. As a club 1.5 years ago a decision should have been made, once a player enters his last year you are basically his bitch. I don't blame Arsenal for withdrawing a contract offer that he had no intention of signing, I do however blame the club for letting yet another player run his contract down, Ramsey should have been sold 1.5 years ago. RvP, Nasri, Sagna, Wilshere, Ox, Ozil, Alexis and Ramsey all off the top of my head. All these players ran their contracts down, three of them left for free.

Darrenarsenal saying the same, Ramsey was never going to sign the contract.

I'm tempted to believe Marcotti. At a 43% marginal tax rate, he'd be taking home £143 a week, which is generous for his talents.

I like Guendouzi deeply, but I'd push him out the door for that money. He's a bit part player who isn't going to come of age for years, best case scenario, and a number of things can happen between now and then that alters his trajectory. Those £60 million could go a long way to get us a top player in a number of positions.

Looking at the article the £60 million is just the fee we're supposed to have quoted to PSG though. It has not actually been offered to us, directly or indirectly.

£60m would get me thinking about it, don't think I'd sell for less. Too much risk you spend all the money on expensive flops like Mustafi.

I would not. Not yet anyway. If we accept and assume that he is only going to get better, than why let him go now in what is essentially the first stage of our rebuild under a new manager. I’d give it till the next 3-4 years, and see how the entire project is coming along and if it makes sense for us from both a footballing and financial sense. PSG and clubs like them aren’t running out of money anytime soon, and Guendouzi isn’t approaching the peak of his career yet. What’s the rush?

Yeah thats the thing. He could go for Couthinho money if he hits the heights we expect. Plus he's one of the only players in the squad who could develop to a level that moves the needle for us. He's the kind of guy that could get us into the CL and then maybe if the money is higher and he wants to go you could sell him for more and attract better replacements.

I agree with Klaus here. He may or he may not get us Coutinho money in 3-4 yrs. OTOH, spending the 60M on someone like Under or Bailey or Pepe is likely to get us to both objectives faster.

60m is a decent price, but I'd still say no. I'm not fond of selling good players who haven't made it clear that they want to leave. Sell those who won't renew their contracts and those who simply aren't good enough. Use that money + more to strengthen the squad. That's the way I want to build our team.

First, I do not believe this rumour.
But if it were true, I would not do it for two reasons.

If PSG are willing to make a move for this player at age 20, they must see some additional upside in him. Why should they retain it?
We are entering a summer of unprecedented turnover. Why add one of the few good things to happen to us this season to the exodus. Fluffy should stay.
