I reckon it’s got far more to do with us having a largely undesirable players (justified or not) on relatively high wages. That someone might be willing to pay 25m for Ings has less to do with our selling techniques and more to do with how backwards some English clubs are.

Anyway, this is Perez's agent, he's spoken with Nexus repeatedly in the past few weeks, and so we can say for certain the £4m figure is wrong

Yes obviously it's to do with how backwards English clubs are, and our "selling techniques" is to take advantage of those idiots. Ings is not only shit and but has torn his ACL twice I think. If they Liverpool manage to sell a broken asset like that for that kinda fee, Chelsea manage to get top dollar for their rejects almost every window then we 100% should be asking why our last decent sale was Nasri for 25m seven years ago

In fairness we got 35m for Ox last year. We were offered close to £20m for Chambers too reportedly and got 20m for Theo despite him being on a high salary. There’s a theme there.

That being said, there’s just no way anyone is stupid enough to pay £25m for Ings surely?

Yes we did very well to defraud Liverpool out of 35m for that pineapple headed charlatan, I completely forgot about that one. That's about the only good deal we've made in recent times though, Walcott for 20m sounds about right.

It is also Matt Scott that says the transfer fee was only £4m, when Perez's agent has categorically said it's much more. So take what he says how you want to. But if Perez was on 90k/week... I despair. What a mess we've made of things these past few years.

I wouldn't trust Perez's agent too much to be fair. It's his job to create a profile for his client. A higher transfer fee reflects better on them both.

It makes sense to me that the fee was low if he was on high wages. It might also explain why his Newcastle move broke down last season and he had to settle for a loan back to Deportivo.

Wish him well at West Ham. Don't see him getting much game time though. He'd be their third best striker and fourth possibly fifth best winger. So the exact same position he would have been here had he stayed.

We can still sell until the UEFA window closes at the end of the month.
In fact we can buy or sell at anytime, but players can only be registered to play during the transfer windows.

Other than that I'd take the list of departures.
Perhaps Usmanov may take some with him to Everton?

Yeah, that's exactly the list of departures i would clean out too. Add a wide-forward a la Dembouz, Coman etc.

Plus, i would sell Mustafi and buy someone reliable.
