Özil isn't moving anywhere for better or worse. Ramsey however should be moved asap if he's not signing within the next week or two, hope Sanllehi is already drumming up interest

Ramsey would be a bigg bigg loss. I hope we get that situation taken care of soon. He has goals in him. Loads of them.

Losing ramsey would sting mainly because he scores goals and has good forward movement.

If he does go there's an opportunity to give our midfield a big makeover, maybe we can nab someone who's a bit more explosive like an ndombele

Thing is, whether we like it or not, we are stuck with Ozil for the foreseeable future so can't even be included in this discussion.

It doesn't really matter how good he is again he'll be out of contract next summer, he's definitely not good enough for us to have that cloud hanging over our heads for another season

Ndombele would probably be too expensive but I'd actually look to strengthen other positions as Ramsey isn't exactly a classic midfielder in his positioning and attacking verve. We should see if Juventus would consider offloading Costa or even Dybala, they've spent like 200m on Ronaldo Costa and Cancelo while having no one outgoing to offset that financial loss. They have enough firepower as is to win the league even with one of them leaving and they usually don't keep players when they consider moving which one or two of them probably would if we tried

Özil Aubameyang Lacazette Costa/Dybala would be good enough to win the league even if everyone else would just stay back and defend. Make it happen Raul Sven or whoever

Yeah if Ramsey goes the main thing we need to replace are his goals. I'd do that from the wing too.

Agree with this but not the Clrnc quote as a performing Ozil is much more difficult to replace than a performing Ramsey.
Not saying he isn't a top player but there are many more top players playing his position.
That said, the Ozil of last season was clearly not a performing Ozil as he was always injured or coming back from injury.
This lack of play diminished him as a player as he lacked game fitness/sharpness which is an important aspect of a number 10.

Ramsey fits most systems though, Ozil you need to build around. Also Ramsey tends to perform more often than Ozil these days.

I still have hope that Ramsey will stay due to Emery thinking he has such a big role to play. As someone else mentioned, Ramsey probably loves hearing stuff like that.

Joel Campbell would've been an improvement, the way Ozil has played this past year.
A performing Ozil on the other hand, such as the one of the previous season when he was set to break the assist record by January, is harder to replace than a performing Ramsey whose type of play is present in most top teams in every top league.

We still quite a bit of deadwood in the squad. The new management has done a great job trimming the fat since January and are almost there I feel. Have faith that they'll be able to cull what is not needed over the next month. Jenkinson, Ospina, Welbeck, Campbell and Perez should be the focus of the exodus. Use the proceeds to bring in a young attacker to replace Welbeck's minutes.

Doubt Welbeck will be sold.

Being away at the World Cup gives less time for the new coaching crew to evaluate him and his potential impact - unless they had watched him comprehensively and had their minds made up even prior to Emery taking the reins here.
