Good riddance
Players Out

40m good money.
It's great business. Now take that money and put it into a Griezmann, Manolas and Jorginho fund.
If it's 40m for Chamberlain, great.
If he's any good at Chelsea at this point, he'll have done well for himself and proved we're shit at using players to their potential.

We're not going to reinvest that budget, let alone reinvest it wisely.
I hear Kalou is available...

I think it's less black and white with Chamberlain, who's been steadily improving throughout the last 18 months or so. The question was always if he could get over the injuries that held him back, not whether he was any good to begin with.

For all his improvement over the last 18 months though, does anyone actually feel like he's set the world alight?
No.
(I answered for you)
Pleased he didn't go to that scum club Liverpool

I have a feeling he's going to do better under Conte. He's the type of player that needs to be more controlled and disciplined to get the best out of him.
Can't believe he played this weekend, idiotic.
If you've accepted that you're selling him there's no reason to risk him and I'm sure the team knew he was on his way out. Why the fuck wouldn't you play Bellerin at RWB and Kolasanic (or Monreal) at LWB?
We need to hijack Spur's Aurier deal ASAP.
I am worried that this activity reflects a fear about the ownership that I've had for a while. With the increase in relative revenue of the Premier League TV money as opposed to the CL money, top 4 becomes less important. In the past it was more important, financially, to participate in the CL, at least in the short term, than it is now. Furthermore, this has also inflated the transfer market for all clubs, particularly towards the top end. If Kroenke is all about that cash, then finishing 6th-17th with a low net spent is much more attractive than fourth with a high net spend, and much more so than what was the case before the latest PL TV deal.
I just don't know if I can see Wenger signing on for that kind of strategy. I hope not.

No, but I think it's mostly a matter of time until he has a proper breakout season if he keeps it up. The longer he keeps going without a serious injury interruption the more he'll improve.
We're officially in net profit for the transfer window!! The party at the Kroenke and Wenger households is probably in full swing
Signed a two year deal didn't he?

Agreed. He's a power player who knows how to dribble. Conte has built top class footballers out of much less in the past.

Yeah, I know what you mean but I've been telling myself that for the last few years and nothing has changed.
Kinda reminds me of Theo. So many of us thought he'd eventually come good and he never did.
Not sure where he will play at Chelsea. If it's right wingback then he not much better than Moses
Throw the £40m plus the balance needed at Southampton for van Dijk
Any sources for the 40M price? Sounds a bit high for us.
Ox isn't smart enough to become a great player. He always holds on to the ball and he drifts out of the game mentally. I've no worries about losing mediocre talents like him. He's not even as good as Theo.
