Would be a perfect addition!
James Milner
Sort of want.
Wanted last year. Dunno this year. Prolly will be downhill from next year. Circumspect.
Think he'd be a decent add. There's a very Wengerish vibe about this one. Or maybe it's just that he's on a free.
No thanks. Don't want wide or centrally.
Wouldn't turn down a good utility squad man like him.
I'd take Milner and fuck off Flamini, Diaby and Rosicky. Three players who have a minimal influence every season leave and one good player who can provide 7/10 coverage for 2-3 different positions arrive. That's good squad management of the sort we need more of. Milner has been good for City this season.
Rosicky is better than Milner.
Milner would be more useful over a season (plus the next few of a possible contract)

And Ozil is better than Ospina.
No thanks. I can't see what he would add. Would rather sign a young player with potential.
I didn't want him initially, but guess he will do as a squad filler. Meh
I think he could be a capable squad player especially if he comes on a free.

This is how Milner move makes sense. He's a very capable two-way player. Also helps us meet our English-empowerment quotas. Klaus, I'm glad to see that you are aligned with my overall philosophy of trading our excess depth for quality.
Probably Walcott's replacement. Would prefer someone with more end product like Pedro, but he's free. Meh.
Walcott's replacement needs to be somebody who inspires terror. The way (a healthy) Bayern have Robben and Ribery burning up the wings, we need something like that, e.g., Sanchez and Reus. Giroud would nut at the thought of playing these guys in.

Rosicky? Minimal Influence? Doesn't go well together those 2. Change it to Arteta for this season and you might have a point.
Yes it does! He's the textbook definition of a luxury player. Every other season he has a run of like five or ten games where he's really good, and a few of them are usually against Championship opposition in the FA cup. The rest of the time he barely gets on the bench. Milner would be a lot better to have around. He can stay fit and he's useful outside of February.
Yeah and without him we would highly likely not be in the UCL for 2 years so...
Even if he is good for those 10-15 games from Jan-Apr, he is still incredibly useful to have. Not to mention, he is a great influence in training for young players. Definitely need to keep him if he wants to stay, Wenger mentioned it too just now in the presser.
We would have made Champions League without Rosicky and then some. It's such a bullshit argument to point to the player who had the smallest influence as being the one who pushed us over the line instead of those who performed for a whole (or at least the better parts of) a season.
