See this as a complete non-starter and to be honest, should 100% be a non-starter. No need to try to American-ize the game (and thats coming from an American)
Exactly, it just wouldn't work - you can't expect players to replicate their club form when playing a one off game under different tactics and with different team mates from another league. Football's becoming far to individualistic these days and this would take things too far.
I agree that it would be cool to see the best players all playing on the same pitch but that's what testimonials are for!
