Nope. I think he is past his peak. The past year where he was first choice before Courtois came, he let in quite a few easy goals and it was no brainer Mourinho discarded him straight away.

He is not terrible but if we want to upgrade our current keeper I would go for someone better.

More importantly it'll be the fourth summer in a row when we brought experienced players in. I honestly think the biggest change in our transfer policy occurred when we finally started bringing in the likes of Arteta and Mertesacker - who I credit with improving the attitude of the playing squad. Before that the team behaved like a bunch of petulant teenagers.

I don't think the Arsenal of 2007-2012 would have been able recover from a shit start to the season and go on to win the FA cup. They never had the nerve.
