There's a good chance that Götze will end up surpassing all of them. He's just insanely complete. People don't seem to rate him as much outside Germany for whatever reason, but both Beckenbauer and Sammer have likened him to Messi in terms of talent.

Wenger really really liked him. Chased him for 3 summers in a row.

I don't think he has fulfilled or shown anything near that kind of talent touted though. For the record I rate him, but I think Bayern wasn't the best of moves for him. Would have been better suited going to a club who build the formation around him instead.

Bayern will build around him eventually though. They just need Robben and Ribery to fuck off first. I think it speaks volumes about him that he's always included somewhere. They have the world's perhaps strongest squad in terms of attacking midfielders and yet Götze is never, ever benched.

I like Goetze but I don't think he'll be the greatest ever German player. He'd do well to become the best player in the German team for part of his career.

Sterling is obviously the best midfielder at Liverpool. He's probably their best player.

Sterling not worth anywhere near the sort of money Liverpool will want, let City waste their money on him.

Sterling will end up at Bayern in my opinion if he does leave as they need the next ribery and outside Hazard he is the closest thing.

This sage won't play out very well for liverpool unless someone does a stupid and bids over £40m. Everyday he doesn't sign then the value drops markedly, at the end of the next window if he hasn't got a contract or liverpool haven't sold then they are going to miss out on a bag of cash. Personally I think he will sign with a release clause that actually exists in specific terms.

My preference is still to find an established mobile striker + Schniederlin. But if we struggling on the striker front, we would do well to bring in this kid. When he's playing with Ozil, Giroud and Sanchez, he will really shine. Right now he's been played in every position on the field including wingback and being fed by second rate playmakers. Given the right surroundings, he will be awesome. I would put him at potentially peak Ljunberg level within the next 3-4 years.

he is already beyond that in reality.

He'll never be as good a finisher as Freddie was.

But, they are different kinds of players imo.
