As regards Sterling himself-
This notion that he's greedy money-grabber is something that's being fed by Liverpool and some of you are believing it.
Let me ask you a question.
Do you think Ramsey is a money-grabber. Probably not. You've never heard of stories being fed about his wage demands.
Ramsey signed a contract with Arsenal 7 years ago in 2008.
Since then he's had 4 contract extensions.
.........
He's signed 5 contracts from a period of 2008-14 that is 6 years.
I agree with the sentiment of what you're saying. Sterling wants away from Liverpool because Liverpool are not good enough right now and won't be in the foreseeable future. The same situation that we faced for many years. Liverpool as a club, its fans and its ex-players, simply can't accept that reality with the same grace that we reluctantly managed.
However, in Ramsey's case, I feel its important to point out that for one of his contract extensions he signed on for more years without an improvement in his wage because he acknowledged he hadn't performed well enough to warrant being paid more. It was at the end of the torrid year he suffered playing Cecs's role after he departed to Barcelona. He's a thoroughly decent guy. I know you wasn't trying to point out otherwise, just wanted to add that.
