That's what I thought, but I cant see Chelsea wanting him, maybe we have spoken with his agent as otf says? don't think wenger would be keen. he's effectively asking for sanchez/ozil wages, which is significantly more than the likes of oxlade, theo, and wilshere would be on. would throw the wage structure off kilter.

I don't think it's a coincidence he went "wrongly" into our dressing room during our match last month. His antics at the end of the match was quite funny too, full of admiration for us.

If Liverpool ask for a decent price Wenger will bite. He's a huge fan of Sterling.

am i the only one who doesnt really think sterling is all that? scored 7 goals this season, as the main attacker. he might have done better the previous season, but he had Suarez playing up front with him & sturridge. honestly, i wouldnt really pay more than 20m for him and i dont think Pool will take anywhere near that low, especially not to a direct rival.

yes, i know he's only 20, but something about him doesnt work for me. maybe its his attitude

yes, i know he's only 20, but something about him doesnt work for me. maybe its his attitude

id go up to 30m, but that probably falls short of their valuation as well. he's the best english youngster ive seen since jack came through, and has plenty of top level experience at 20.

ricky - quite a few ear to the ground scouse journos have said he's demanding 150k pw. if someone like luke shaw gets 100k after 1 decent season at left back, sterlings demands arent really surprising.

The Scouse journos have done their best to paint him out as a greedy kid that can't possibly want what's best for his career if he wants away from the great Liverpool FC.

I don't believe a word of it personally. Reckon he'll want a fair old whack, naturally, but genuinely believe he's not turning down contracts or gagging to get away because he wants to earn more money.

he's lost a few million quid by not signing a new deal at pool, which means his agent has lost out on a few quid as well. im sure his agent has organised a huge deal at another club to make up.for lost time. 140-150k is probably market rate for him if guys like henderson and shaw are getting 100k, and guys like milner are being offered 130k. not so far fetched

He'd make up for the 'losses' in the signing on fee alone if he gets a move. And either way, over the life of his next contract it would only take an extra 10k on top of what Liverpool are offering to make up for the last 6-7 months.

I think he will go to City. They need homegrown players and also need to supplement their squad with quality. He will get the money as well as the competitiveness.

Pretty disgraceful the way he's been treated this season, every stage of the contract talks leaked by the Liverpool PR machine.

Those scouse journos are a piece of work, blaming Sterling for Liverpool not getting into the CL and basically saying he's shit, all because he doesn't want to play for a club that isn't in the CL and is going downhill fast.

I am pretty sure if Arsenal is interested is because they already know roughly what Sterling wants and are willing to pay that much.

The people that don't think he's all that on the basis of stats should have a look at Alex's and Walcott's contribution at the same age. It was lesser. Chamberlain's stats are even worse as an older player.

Sterling's 20 months and 3-4 months old. By that time he has 23 goals for Liverpool of which 18 are in the league. Walcott had 14 goals of which 6 were in the league.

Chamberlain is 15 months older and has 12 overall with 6 in the league.
