Interesting development.
Sounded to me like the kid wants out and was saying that over and over throughout the interview without actually saying the words - although, I think he felt he was being cryptic/diplomatic.
I do think he came across as a very smart and very well grounded kid - which is the impression I've got from his post match interviews as well. Whether he actually gets out of Liverpool is another matter. A lot probably depends on how the scousers react to what he's said here. I think because he's so young, not actually achieved much for them yet and a Londoner to boot that they might turn on him and drive him out.
Don't think he'll end up here because I think we'd really struggle to agree a deal with the tossers that run that club. Maybe Walcott will be our bargaining chip - if he's set on leaving himself that is - but you'd have to think that realistically either City or Chelsea have been in his ear and he knows they can make something happen in the summer and doesn't want to tie himself to a second tier club like Liverpool. Who the fuck would?
All in all, a very brave and mature thing to do in my opinion. Liverpool have thrown him to the wolves in recent weeks and he's had the bulls to stick up for himself. Good on him.
