That Portuguezer walks all over both Messi and Ronaldo with his average of 1.68 goals per game.
Best player ever?
And what about Gerd Muller?
He played back in the day and in a league when tackling wasn't illegal and when what would be called grievous assault nowadays would be punished with a stern talking to.
too quick to be even fouled.
It's like he's in the matrix and everything is slowed down just for him.
Cheat mode.
Messi plays football.
Ronaldinho plays with the ball.
.
I am sure Ronaldinho plays with his balls, but there is no need to post stuff like that on the forum. Think of the children!
Ronaldinho was awesome to watch. The only way he can even be considered in this debate though is if mentality isn't a part of it, which I personally think would be ridiculous.

But that's exactly what it is. His brain is too fast and his feet can match his too fast brain.
Much prefer to watch messi than ronaldo or ronaldinho. It winds me up a bit when I see ronaldo standing still doing those ball rolls and waving a foot over the ball only to then play a short pass to the side. Also ronaldinho's no look pass annoyed me. Starting the passing motion then flicking your head to one side is wee wee
You sound very annoyed at everything Dules, little one keeping you up?
Ronaldinho pisses me off too cause he pisstakes a little too far. But still an eminent source of fun footie.

Couldn't agree more on Ronaldo. He's such a stupid show pony half the time, rarely does anything special at all on the dribbling front. Messi beats people over and over and he does with such grace.
Too much. How? How does he do that?
Meh, that isn't even in his top 10 goals.
Sums it up.
Can you imagine what it must have been like for opponents back then to play against this combination of skill. close control, pace and power? So far ahead of his peers is truly remarkable.
Great find there, Rex.
To this day my dad says nobody will ever be as good as Pele was.
His point has always been how much better he was than his peers and you can't argue with that.
Yeah, I sort of agree with that. In absolute terms he is not the best ever, of course, but I feel any comparison needs to made with the players' contemporaries.
Sorry about the age of the toaster.
Ronaldo is now Real's all time top scorer in La Liga.
La Liga goals for Real Madrid:
Raul: 228 Goals in 550 Games.
Cristiano Ronaldo: 230 Goals in 204 Games.
Beat Raul's record with 9 seasons to spare.
Absurd.
That's bonkers, more goals than games played
That's insane. He may not be the best player ever, is he the best goalscorer of all time?
Only one I can think of is Gerd Müller.
Fucking Messi has 232 goals in 208 in the same timespan, which is 1.12 goals per game, Ronaldo's rating is 1.13. Nothing between the two in terms of goalscoring.
Messi is involved in the creation of pretty much every Barcelona attack though, Ronaldo only gets on the end of things. When Messi played up front in 12/13 before his injury he scored at a rate of about 1.7 or something.
Plus Messi's games are from the age of 18 or something while Ronaldo has only played for RM in his prime. Imagine if you don't count Messi's early years where he didn't score as much.
But yeah, the main point is that Messi is Barcelona's main source of creativity and goal scoring, while Ronaldo is a world class poacher.
Ronaldo can keep up with Messi in scoring, but in every other respect the little doped midget is better IMO.
Not every other aspect, Ronaldos better in the air :p
But still

Historically there are a few other all time greats who are comparable purely in terms of goals scoring. Puskas, Eusebio, Di Stefano, Muller...obviously Pele. Van Basten would probably have continued at a goal a game had he not played in Italy during the period he did. Some others too.
Pele used to count goals scored in the school playground bless him
Every goal counts as does every goal saved, the sooner these pass monkeys realise it the better.
He's also pushing Viagra to help those with a bad case of droopy dick!

And it's the pass monkeys who seem to win all the trophies
Inb4 'it's cyclical'

Could you fit Messi and Ronaldo in the salary cap in La Liga's Fantasy Football? You wouldn't really need any other players.
Lionel
Yeah but La liga is a bit of a joke, anyone who plays for Barcelona or Real Mdrid can score heaps.
Neither Messi of Crynaldo have ever done in it World cups like Pele Maradona and Zidane.
