We had a lot of chances against Monaco.

We will definitely create chances if we keep probing. I do think we need to be measured in our approach though despite the deficit.

We can score 3 on any given night without committing too much. We should not get caught on the counter attack early. We were too naive in the home fixture.

1-0 at half time, and make sure we don't go crazy piling people forwards until we're completely desperate. The last half hour of the first leg showed that it's more important that we dominate the midfield than getting too many attackers on the pitch - I'd be really disappointed if we did something stupid like not starting Coquelin. The team in the OP looks perfect for me.

Also, I feel like this is the sort of game Koscielny scores in. Theo too.

We need to score 3 in about 75 minutes of stop start football. If Monaco have any sense, and they seem to, they'll be wasting time and rolling around from the first minute.

Thinking about this game just makes me annoyed that we allowed them that 3rd goal. That has completely fucked our chances IMO. I'd have one eye on Newcastle next weekend, but I realise they have a responsibility to the travelling support and so lets hope we can get some sort of result. And if that happens, lets also hope Mertesacker's mouth is taped shut.

The result from the first leg is inhibiting.
Two early goals for us would go some way towards banishing the shadow cast by the 3 goals conceded.

We will probably fall short on the day, 2-1 we were still in it but 3-1 is probably too much. Just hope we make it uncomfortable for them and just give it our best really.

we're playing alot better since the last game against them. a goal in the first 20 minutes, and they will start to brick it.
