Reus will take time to get used to the PL, whilst Bale would be good from the off, he's also a more powerful dribbler, which I prefer.

£30m for Depay? Is he worth it? I've not seen him at all other than a recent game for Holland. Impressive goalscoring record though.
Only seen him at the World Cup, so can't comment on his record in Holland; he looked a good talent to me but not something to really sit up and take notice of.
21 goals for PSV. Difficult to say what a 21 goal striker in the Dutch league is worth in the PL in 2015. Could flop or be the next Ronaldo, who knows.

21 goals and 4 assists in 28 league appearances is very impressive from the wing, even in Holland, and he has the frame to excel in the premiership. Powerful lad.
Problem is, for every RvN or Suarez coming from Holland, there's been Mutu's, Kezman's, Alves's and Huntelaar's... coming from the Eredivisie is a risky gamble..

I think of lot of Bale's limitations have been shown up at R.Madrid. He thrived in a system for Spurs but he not as good as people make out imo. When teams sit deep a lot of Bale's best attributes get taken out, whereas we need someone who can press from the front and work well in tight spaces.
He's a bit like Ramsey in that he doesn't look smooth with all the tippy tappy stuff but I don't think he'd be a hinderence at all. He's more selfish though some some of the pretty team goals might not happen, but no doubt we'd score a shed load more.
I think a smart thing to do would be to use Bale like Wales do. They've got a good record this qualifying campaign and recently Bale has been pushed up top with Ramsey at 10. He's not as good as Giroud in terms of winning headers and fighting with CBs but he has looked competitive enough.
I like the idea of Bale as a striker.

Jozy Altidore is built like a brick shithouse and scored 31 goals in 41 games for AZ a few seasons ago. He's one of the worst strikers who have ever graced the Premiership for as long as I've been watching.
I would never sign any players based on their performances in the Eredivise. Talent, sure, but it's difficult to see what sets Depay apart from so many other youngsters around Europe in that department. At least from limited viewing.
I think Reus would be more comfortable for us.

Lets not forget Alfonso Alves either, 45 goals in 39 games in Holland, probably about as bad as it got in the Premier League too.
You need to watch them to get a good idea, rather than looking at their records. Suarez was an obvious talent for example.
Not fussed about Depay. Januzaj is more talented, hope they somehow sell him.

I have a gut feeling that Reus is not going anywhere this summer.
Unlike Hummels or Gundogan, he is a local lad and has always expressed real attachment to the club.
His recently signed extension also could be a pointer that direction.
Januzaj will be living off his Uniteds-rock-bottom-hype for quite a few years still, i see ...
Januzaj at this moment is just hype.
Depay on the other hand was a major factor is PSV reclaiming the league title.

Funnily enough the i noticed about Depay from a few vids is that he's well built.
Pretty scathing quotes from Beckenbauer on Gotze
"He behaves and moves around on the pitch like a youth player. He just stops moving when he loses a duel. This is the behaviour of a child," Beckenbauer told Sky.
"This kind of behaviour does not fit in at Bayern. It is time for him to grow up.
"He has shown at Dortmund what he can do and we know that he is a great talent. But there is still something missing."

On the very few occasions that I've seen him play I liked what I saw personally, there's something about him. But yeah, loads of flops from Holland and there's a good chance that he won't make the impact that I expect.

It's just Bayern's blame mentality. Has to cover the fact they weren't good enough, so let's attack the 22 year old who played fifteen minutes instead of guys like Lewandowski and Müller who were shown up.
