People will make it out like he is trying to toughen his mentality. Bottom line is they have a golden generation coming through the ranks, Chelsea have poured millions into their youth system, a lot of the players coming through aren't down to Mourinho but all the years of planning by Chelsea. His legacy will be largely judged on whether he can integrate those player into his first team. His comments against the player might be to test him or to get his excuses ready early. With young players sometimes you have to let them grow out on the pitch, sometimes to the detriment of the team. I can't see Mourinho as the type to give trust in those kind of players. Would he stick his neck on the line for a player? I have my doubts, he is a winner and it is all about winning no matter what.
