Giroud is the same player he was last season. He's a good striker who deserves to be at a top club but not as the main man. City have Aguero, Bony, Jovetic. Chelsea have Costa, Remy, Drogba. We have Giroud, Welbeck. Its clear we need a player in ahead of Giroud who is top quality.
People say there is no one we can get who is at that level but the truth is there is no one we are willing to get at that level. Wenger just isn't willing to push the boat out to get a striker at that level. Clubs rarely let such good players go and when they do there is always competition for them. We are never serious contenders in the competition to sign these players.
