Mesut creates chance after chance for his teammates. He should've had one or two tap-ins himself yesterday if Sanchez/Ramsey/Giroud could execute like he does. Sometimes feels pointless for him to pass, and he ends up being criticized for it, but only because the goal doesn't come like it should. If he just started taking pot-shots from the top of the 18 would we like him better? I dunno, I think he's one of the best footballers on the planet and wouldn't trade him for anyone.
Football is about partnerships across the pitch and we don't have a partner for Mesut (Flam doesn't count).
