And therein lies our issue in attack - players who can be relied upon to score regularly.

I have no idea what you are on about, Biggus. I agree with Chili, basically, but I do think Özil should score a few more than he has in previous seasons. It is a natural development in his game, and he certainly is capable.

Well you've got a point there, but in that case that just makes him a glorified Hleb and at 43m and reputedly 140k p/w thats not worth it.
The transfer fee is not his fault but it sticks in my craw that for years we had to make do with free transfers and bargain bin shopping and when we finally smash our transfer record the fucking Turkey goes and spunks it on a glorified Hleb- Suprise sufuckingprise, as Anzac suggested we need goalscorers.

I still live in hope that when we get a decent manager he might finally be able to do something with him.

Indeed. Looking at the stats in terms of minutes played, he is still one of our most effective assist machine as compared to the rest.

Alexis Sanchez - 32 apps, 18 goals and 8 assists
Santi Cazorla - 34 apps, 7 goals and 9 assists

The stats don't make any sense though as you've got games played instead of minutes there. Rosicky's amount of minutes, which looks similar to Ozil's in temrs of games played, has to be about two times smaller as he hardly ever starts whereas Ozil always starts and completes 80 minutes at the very last. Same with Walcott and Chamlerlain to an extent.

Unless I'm missing something of course.

Its ridiculous to call Ozil a glorified Hleb. He's the opposite of Hleb. Ozil is all about that telling contribution in the final 3rd.

We haven't lost a game at home in the League that Ozil has been a part of, since his arrival that is.

It isn't obviously down to him but his presence on the pitch does make us more efficient in attack, which allows us to defend better.

Wtf are you on about Biggus? He drove our offensive play in the last 3rd almost singlehandedly yesterday and while you could criticize him for not showing up in games in the beginning of the season, he's been immense since coming back from injury, always demanding the ball and always looking for the killer pass and he made plenty of brilliant passes yesterday too one of which led to our 2nd goal. I bet he was one of our players who ran the most yesterday too like he usually is so that lack of effort-thing is a massive misconception.
