Don't know if it's just me, but his apparent work rate seems to be up a level in the past month or so. He's always influential but he seems more committed than before. Lot of emotion in his game today.

I think his work rate has been much improved since the turn of the year when he came back from injury. He just looks stronger on the ball.

Plays like the club means something to him now. It's all speculation of course but I think he was in a big sulk over being sold by Real Madrid for a while.

Pretty sure the second part was fake, the stat said something about overtaking Riquelme who was never 1st in Europe. There's also little chance he's already overtaken the likes of Xavi or probably even Henry.

Also I've seen the stats a lot of times but how absurd is that Messi has the most assists to go with the roughly 2,000 goals he scored in that period.
