Drones are here to stay whether we like it or not. However, there is a significant risk of terrorists using them to appalling effect. It is already possibly to hijack drones too, so accountability becomes even more hairy. Mostly, I think there are lots and lots of benefits with them though.

Yeah, I've just seen that as well. He sounds a lot like George Orwell, especially when he's talking about a "decent society" which is highly reminiscent of Orwell's "common decency". Even though the media everywhere are slaughtering him I actually think the honesty with which he defends his values might have him in with a shout for the next elections. The cynic in me would say there's probably a bigger chance of him being assassinated until then.

I don't agree with all his povs, and some of them are probably naive or unrealistic but the narrative that he's some dangerous lunatic is wide off the mark. Is it really so dangerous to be in the mainstream and still have a contradictory view point?

At worst, his views will be ignored or buried. At best, he might actually force people to revise their point of views on a few things and meet half way.
