@ Meatwad: what an idiotic reaction.
The mother does not deserve abuse - those who are abusing her are definitely more concerned about the welfare of the animal over that of the child.
If there is a case to answer here it's to be answered by those who hold the animal captive in an enclosure that is designed in such away that kids can climb through the railings.
Clearly not fit for purpose.

Both Qwiss and goon are parents so I'd take their word.
Pretty much every single parent that I know has had at least one terror moment when they've momentarily lost sight of a kid, sometimes longer, absolutely none of these parents are irresponsible or feckless.
True that, it only takes a few seconds and they're off I don't blame the parents.
I don't blame the police either, they were probably just responding to the call that this big black hairy dude grabbed a child, its normal they responded with lethal force.
Its obviously the zoo's fault for failing to provide a safe and secure environment.

Clearly.
Anyone who wanted to hang about to see what the gorilla would do next has some pretty messed up priorities.
Disagree, animal behaviour experts say that gorillas are not aggressive to smaller creatures as they don't see them as a threat.
A similar incident happened in 1996 where a female gorilla cuddled the child until he was retrieved peaceably, obviously the zoo keepers in this case were fuckwits.
Chimpanzee on the other hand are nasty and aggressive and require a different strategy.
