@ Qs! Also, as an aside, to your point about the white immigrant populations in America:
There is something I find extremely amusing in this country, and that is how many white European immigrants essentially do their best to blend in and erase their own past, history and heritage. They choose to Anglicize their names and actively imitate the American accent when talking in order to blend and fit in, and once they have done so, they may begin to enjoy the fruits of racism and America's plunder of the non-white population. Many African Americans have also gone this route. An absolutely brilliant young woman friend of mine always tells me of the surprise and shock that registers in the eyes of many of her interviewers when they meet her for the first time and realize that she is not the blonde, blue-eyed white angel they had imagined on viewing her resume with her Anglicized name.
The few that do keep their names are those from countries that have for some reason or the other have been incorporated into American culture, e.g. the Irish, the Jews, some Italians...
In the best case scenario, I believe these immigrant whites are those who for the most part become the "liberals", and "white allies".
In the worst case scenario, they succumb to the ugliness of racism and fully blend in with "white America".
