German media are talking about a gunfight rather than a killing spree, wouldn't trust any early reports though.
CNN here in the states just said there was a bomb threat earlier today on the German NT's hotel...
Terrifying, have so many friends in Paris. Just awful knowing that there's indescriminate carnage there tonight.

Three explosions, at least six shootings and hostages in a concert hall. At least 40 casualties, safe to say this is a concerted attack
@DocThompsonShow 4m4 minutes ago #BREAKING: according to Europe 1 there is now a shooting at the Les Halles which is near the Centre Pompidou and Louvre. #Paris
French television network BFM is reporting that up to 60 people have been killed in the attacks across Paris while up to a hundred held hostage in the Le Bataclan theatre.

60 confirmed dead now. Constantly on the rise.
"Bataclan hostages communicate on social media, report being slaughtered "one by one." #Paris
Absolutely sickening.
Two more shooting sites near the Louvre and Centre Pompidou now apparently.
i feel sick. fuck this
National state of emergency declared, France's borders now closed. I fear for those still in Paris and for what will come after this.
I don't wanna speak out of turn, but this certainly has ISIS smeared all over it. And if it is, the pressure on the leaders of Europe from all sides is gonna mount tenfold.
I fear this will lead to drastic consequences, not just for France but for the whole western society.
Hopefully they gain control on this soon.
@PlanckMichiel 2m2 minutes ago "One of the attackers at the Bataclan has explosives, according to a Liberation journalist quoting a police officer at the scene." @BBC
This is awful - I feel sick for those in Paris and also because what this will mean for geopolitics.

It does feel like a bit of a watershed moment.
This seems very similar to the Mumbai attacks of eight years ago - and that took a few days before it was resolved.
cnn just interviewed a guy who was inside and got out. said the terrorists didnt say/yell anything, they werent wearing masks, they just started firing at the crowd and indiscriminately killing people
