"I pretty much figured out the Everton-ish behaviour of the office gooner. He's frustrated at seeing the 5 European Cups, 5 more league titles (3 since Wenger) and the multitude of other European titles in our cabinets. Then I educated him a little on Man Utd's history and the honours won - ironically I know more about our archenemy than many Manc 'fans' here - leading him to deeper depression. Add to that the attention to the bigger clubs in the country and the richer ones, it felt to him that they are not getting the same respect as they should be on the continent - it's Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Man Utd, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern etc etc, no one seems to be discussing Arsenal much.

Hence I just laugh along when he makes 'jokes' about us - apparently Liverpool is the joke of the season because we're at a worst position then they are - you know the feeling of being 'fine' when you know someone is worst off than you? Yeah."
