you're a tough customer, Klausie. 31 goals and 12 assists (43 points overall) is an epic return.
Giroud, our best had 16 and 9 (25 points) as comparison, while Hazard had 14 and 7 (21 points), Toure had 19 and 10 (29), and Rooney 17 and 10 (27)

Don't care much about assists for strikers. I would obviously take Suarez ahead of Giroud (and most of the targets we're linked with).

As much as I hate the fucker, Suarez was certainly the right choice for player of the year. He racked up those numbers despite missing the first part of the season too.

Strikers always pick up a bag of assists, because they are almost always one of the two players closest to the goal. It doesn't mean their assists don't have a value but it's hardly an index of creativity. I'm more impressed with Giroud's creativity in the final third than Suarez's. It's too bad Olly is coming up five inches short when you compare their ability to actually hit the goal, because that's what will keep him from ever being great.
