i'd worry if i was a pool fan. great group of players, but they are not going to be this healthy next season. they better have some really good players coming in if they are to survive the demands of domestic and continental competition

United, with the right stewardship, could be next year's Pool.

Last time Liverpool finnished second, they followed it up with a terrible season that set them up for the last couple years of failed managers, transfers and several years without CL football.

I don't think they'll be as strong next season. A lot of their success this season had to do with momentum and being able to focus on just the league. They won't have that next season.

I'm more worried about City and Chelsea.

They are debating his on redcafe but seen a shocking stat on Suarez. 15 of Suarez 31 goals (47%) have come against the bottom four sides, I knew he had scored a fair few but didn't realise it was that many! Didn't score any goals against the Top 4 sides this season. With the season he was having looked like the guy would score over 35 but they dried up for him more recently. Hasn't been able to break the record of 31 league goals.

They will when they realise how much harder things become when you're playing in the CL every week and not getting well rested like they have this season. Played over 10 less games in the season in comparison to the other Top 4 sides and I think that played a role in their end of season form. They need to add players but also run the risk of being fined under FFP because as it stand they aren't compliant.

I think when you take the season as a total Yaya is probably more deserving of POTY than Suarez. Its very close though.

I think we'll finish above United and Liverpool next season.

Touré should definitely have gotten it. He's been the best midfielder this season, and I'm not talking about Premier League. I'm talking about the world. He's such an incredibly complete player.

Liverpool fans I know seem to think this was their last chance for a while so they're not too optimistic about building on this. Fact is, they'll do really well to finish in the top four again.

Yep, its insane how little he is rated in the world. He have everything in his locker, pace power technique pass shot.

Think he's just about the most complete allrounder out there too. Is there any outfield position you can't envision he'd be successful at? He would do the business as a striker, as a fullback, as a winger... he played a Champions League final as a centreback and nullified Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez...

problem Klaus is how early awards are voted on. in an age where players are tweeting from football fields, you'd think it were possible for players and journalists to vote on these awards tomorrow and for an announcement to be made prior to the FA Cup. overall it's close - Toure for consistency and all-around play, Suarez for a mesmerizing period after his return

It's not exactly a crime that someone with 30 goals and 25 assists in the league this season has won POTY... If he took penalties he'd be closer to 40 goals too. Not had anyone with those kind of numbers since Thierry.

Toure is great though, and that's despite being a lazy fecker. His pace and power obviously helps but I think people focus on that too much at times and ignore the fact that he's pretty damn good on the ball too.

Yaya is in the Gerrard category. Not as good as the Premiership greats : Vieira, Keane, Scholes.

Suarez is pretty overrated too. Kinda glad we didn't sign him, comes with a bit of baggage other than the insane shit he sometimes gets up to.

Yaya's far better than Gerrard. Two or three more seasons like this, and he probably moves ahead of even that trio you mentioned.

Yeah. Gotta say, I don't think Suarez did anything truly outstanding this season apart from that insane spell around Christmas when he scored 16 or 17 goals across 8-10 games. Very good player mind, just not particularly close to the best ones in the world.
